Ashlee started taekwondo at the age of 6 with Muir’s Taekwondo Club. In December 2001 she achieved her first dan. She has since obtained her second dan (March 2008) and third dan (March 2011). Ashlee has competed at a State and National level for both poomse and sparring.
Ernesto (Ernie) Civitarese began training in 2006 under Mr Darryl Green and Mr Eddie Carroll after his son Andrew had been training for a year at the Carindale branch. Francis Carroll first started taekwondo with his father, instructor David Carroll in Victoria. In 2004 he recommenced his training at Muir’s Carindale and in 2005 attained his first dan. He is currently a second dan.
Troy Williams first joined Muir’s Gold Coast in 1990. He moved to Brisbane and trained at Carindale in 2001. He was four times Australian national junior champion and won bronze in the 1998 US Open. He became the Australian lightweight champion in 2002. Troy graded to third dan in December 2002.
George Pippos started training at the Carindale PCYC and attained his first dan in 2009
Ed Carroll joined Muir’s with his father, instructor David Carroll and is now an instructor himself. He attained his first dan in 2002, his second dan in 2005 and his third dan in 2008
Nick Laingam started training in 1998 and attained his first dan in 2001.
James Coleman was one of the first members of Muir’s Carindale branch when he joined in 1997. He graded to first dan in 2001. He is currently a third dan.
Chris Turner was the Carindale branch’s first Black Belt student. He is currently a third dan.
